African Essay

Africa suffers a great amount of poverty. Families go through money shortage, starvation, water shortage, no shelter, and etc... The government of countries such as Ethiopia and The DRC cannot support the people. Kids also endure pain from this. Many kids do not get education because the families can't afford to send them to school. The government of Ethiopia spends 1% of their budget on schools, so the parents basically have to pay to send their kids to school so they can get an education. The parents cannot afford to send the kids to school because they don't make a lot of money with their farming jobs. A farming job is not an accurate way to earn money. The amount of money earned is based on how many crops are grown. The amount of crops grown depends on the seasons, with droughts and monsoons in the African countries the families don't even know if they'll have enough to eat or to drink. let alone make money to send their kids to school. Also. the kids don't go to school because most of them have to stay home and help their parents on the farm. The guys go on the farm and the girls work at home. I conclude that girls get the least amount of education due to them working at home, making dinner, and more. I think farming life is the hardest way to live. Also African countries are most impacted by AIDS. Twenty-30% of the population is affected by AIDS. AIDS is the disease leaving kids on the street alone & elders with no one to take care of them Africa's government does very little to help these causes. I think that Africa's government has to help their people or their population will rapidly decrease.
