The King of Cleveland, LeBron James is the leader of the Cavaliers. In my book, “LeBron James: The Rise of a Star”, is described as the superstar who has changed the way people look at NBA. From his debut in 2003, people can’t argue that LeBron James cannot be stopped from receiving his goal of winning a NBA title. He has put up stats that no one has ever seen before. He can shoot the ball, rebound, steal it, pass it, and more. All these skills are perfected through hours of practice everyday making him the leader of his team. For example, LeBron has averaged 28 ppg (points per game), 7 reb. (Rebounds), and 8.2 app (assists), during the 22 games LeBron has played this year. LeBron statistics are leading the team in points, and in assists. This shows when the Cleveland Cavaliers are in need; they look upon their best player, LeBron James. Also, LeBron has recently won the MVP award proving his skills leading not only his team but also, the whole NBA. In addition, LeBron James communicates with all his team members no matter if he likes them or not. This shows that his communication can help him tie his team together when they need it just like a coach. Also he can help other players, which helps improve his team, which then leads back to him leading his team. LeBron James has played against his current teammate, Shaquille O’Neal. They have their opposing moments but still communicate very well with each other now that they are teammates. Finally, LeBron’s attitude and love of the game makes him a leader. No matter how much the Cavs are down by, LeBron does not just yell at his teammates and ball hog because he is considered the best. No, LeBron explains to the players on what they need to improve on and shows sportsmanship. Although, LeBron shows his appreciation to his teammates, he really shows his enthusiasm for the game. He will express his feelings and show how much he cares about each game and referee call no matter how small of a difference it would make. This also shows how much he wants his team to win and how much he contributes, which also revolves back on why he is a leader.
Being a leader is not easy, especially on the basketball court. You have a lot on your mind. You have to support the coach, the team, and the fans. Although leadership is difficult, LeBron James makes it look easy. There is no describing what he has done for Cavaliers association. If LeBron was not on the Cavaliers, the Cavs would not have made the made the playoffs the last half-decade. (Five years) without LeBron James in the NBA, the National Basketball Association would not be the same.
